MISSISSAUGA, ON, January 26, 2023 /CNW/ – Mercedes-Benz Canada today announced pricing and availability details for the EQE business sedan, along with its performance-oriented sibling, the Mercedes-AMG EQE sedan.

EQE 350 4MATIC sedan 2023 and The 2023 EQE 500 4MATIC sedan is equipped with electronic all-wheel drive (eATS) on the front and rear axles. Electric motors are permanent excitation synchronous motors (PSM). With PSM, the rotor of the AC motor is equipped with permanent magnets and therefore does not need to be de-energized. The advantages of this design include high power density, high efficiency and high power stability. The motor on the rear axle is very powerful thanks to its six-phase design: it has two windings and three phases each.

Compared to the luxury sedan EQS, the EQE sedan has a slightly shorter wheelbase, shorter overhangs and a more rear-mounted side, carrying the concept of a business sedan into the future. Generously designed surfaces, reduced joints and flowing transitions reflect physical purity. The front end and overhangs are short, and the rear adds a touch of power to the look of the car with a stunning spoiler. The tension placed at the edge of the body, the 19- to 21-inch wheels, as well as the pronounced muscular shoulder, give the EQE an athletic character.
The 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQE 4MATIC+ sedan offers a performance-oriented driving concept, with two electric motors. The powerful Electric Power Steering (eATS), which includes a motor on each axle, also provides fully adaptive all-wheel drive that transmits the drive’s energy to the road in all driving conditions. Power reaches 460kW (617hp) and torque goes up to 701lb-ft. In Race Start mode, power and torque are boosted to 677hp and 738lb-ft in no time.

The EQE sedan will be offered as a base model with two optional lines. The Mercedes-AMG EQE sedan will also be offered as a base model with an optional trim line.
