Mercedes-Benz is recalling just over 100,000 C-Class vehicles worldwide. According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority, around 10,000 vehicles are probably affected in Germany.
It is about C-Class sedans from the production period from October 2020 to June 2022, said a company spokesperson at the request of the dpa news agency. A car manufacturer has discovered that if water gets into the trunk of the car, moisture can penetrate the module. A possible short circuit can cause problems, for example the back of the rear seats can open unexpectedly or the exterior rear lights of the vehicle can fail.
