News: Mitsubishi praises the new Colt

The base engine is a standard 1.0 liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 49 kW (65 hp), with a five-speed manual gearbox. A COLT with this drivetrain has a starting price of €21,990.

For drivers looking for extra performance, a 1.0-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 67 kW (90 hp) is available, with a six-speed manual gearbox. Prices for the COLT and this drive start at €24,990. This version immediately starts with the richest equipment.

The new COLT also comes with a Full Hybrid powertrain (HEV). A 1.6 liter petrol engine works together with two electric motors. The wheels are driven through a multi-mode automatic transmission that can make these engines work together in multiple ways for better efficiency. The power of the COLT with the drive train is 105 kW (145 hp) and is on the list price with a starting price of € 27,990.

Demonstrations

The new COLT is available in the Netherlands in various versions. Apart from the basic Pure version, it is also available as Intense, Instyle and as a special introductory version: First Edition.

Clean: inserted. Always and exclusively connected to the 65 hp 1.0 engine, this version is enough to get from A to B. Safi has a 7-inch digital instrument panel where you can control music as well as information about the car. There is also a range of safety systems such as Forward Collision Mitigation, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist. For important comfort, there is manual climate, cruise control and light and rain sensors.
Heavy: the extra visibility that the Intense offers comes from 16-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, special daytime running lights in the side panels and door handles and side mirrors that are painted. Logging in is easy with Keyless Operating System (KOS). Once inside, several things immediately catch your eye: the 7-inch Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that works wirelessly, as does smartphone charging. There’s also automatic air conditioning and a reversing camera for added comfort.
First Edition: it sits on diamond-cut finish 17-inch alloy wheels. The SDA screen has been upgraded to 9.3 inches and the cruise control is now also adjustable. There are additional technological devices such as Blind Spot Warning and high beam assistant. Comfort is particularly enhanced here, including seat and steering wheel heating.
Instyle: on top of the above, Instyle adds a 10-inch digital instrument panel, 360-degree camera, Easy Park Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, adding more technology to the COLT. In addition, Instyle can be completely customized according to personal preferences using Multi-Sense. From aggressive driving or a more economical car to choosing the color of the ambient light: it is possible with Multi-Sense. In addition, the sound comes from the BOSE Premium sound system.

Security

COLT offers a complete range of ADAS systems to provide safety and comfort to occupants and other road users. For pedestrian safety, there is a standard Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) system. Depending on the version chosen, the new COLT has the latest safety systems, such as Adaptive Cruise Control (and Stop & Go), Around View Monitor, Automatic High Beam, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Easy. Park Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Connection

Connectivity in the new COLT starts with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so the driver can pair a smartphone. Operating systems can be operated via the central touch screen via voice control. Multi-Sense allows the driver to customize the mood lighting and digital instrument cluster to his own taste.
