Pierre Gasly at the pit stop: “Very scary” / Formula 1

It happened on the eleventh lap of the Chinese GP when Pierre Gasly turned into the first pit stop: the Alpine driver was wrongly given the green light to continue while his crew was still installing the right rear wheel. While Gasly was driving, the wheel came loose and caused the mechanic to fall. He was lucky because he survived the incident unscathed.

The confusion at the center had an impact on the team, however, because they created a dangerous situation for which, according to the law, they were fully responsible, and were given a huge fine of 10,000 euros. Gasly said after the GP, in which he finished thirteenth: “That was very scary.”
