Milestone for Lexus S: MORE THAN THREE MILLION COPIES SOLD

Lexus ES has passed the three million sales mark in the world. The popular Lexus sedan was launched 33 years ago alongside the larger LS 400 in the US and has been available in Western Europe for the past five years.

Lexus’ best-selling sedan

The Lexus ES is currently the second best-selling Lexus of all time. Only the Lexus RX is more popular, with 3.6 million sales worldwide. Also last year, the Lexus ES was in second place for the brand, with 167,628 sales worldwide. Annual sales passed 100,000 units seven times, including four times in the years 2019-2022.

Comfort, silence and tranquility

Since the introduction of the Lexus ES in 1989, the model has established itself as an important model in the premium E segment. The model has been widely praised for its elegant and spacious cabin, class-leading comfort, exceptional stability and refined and intuitive handling. With these features, the model is attractive to both private and business drivers.

Long wheel

The current generation of Lexus ES is built on the advanced Global Architecture – K (GA-K) platform. With its long wheelbase and wheels close to the corners, the car has plenty of interior space, while the platform also allows for a low bonnet and a sweeping roofline.

Since 2018

Five years ago, the Lexus ES was introduced to the Western and Central European markets as the ES 300h, featuring a smooth, powerful and efficient fourth-generation hybrid. In other markets, the ES also comes with different petrol engines: ES 200, ES 250 and ES 350.

Model year 2023

For the 2023 model year update, the Lexus ES has received a new multimedia system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Also new is the F SPORT Design version, which gives the car a chic and sporty look. The Lexus ES is available from 60,995 euros. As with every Lexus, a warranty of up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers applies.
