The famous car brand from Bologna has something special to celebrate. The Quattroporte turns 60. It was already at the top of the list of classic cars, but there are few who reach the 60 mark. Maserati Quattroporte

A four-door luxury sedan that first appeared in public in 1963. The name says it all, the Quattroporte just sounds cool, that’s what the car is. Four doors means “four doors” in Italian. The model is known for its style, luxury and ease of driving as if sitting on a cloud. In its long history, the Quattroporte has had several versions and models. Everyone was bursting with modern technology at that time. The Quattroporte is often equipped with powerful engines, including V6 and V8 engines, which provide impressive performance on the road.

The maker of the trident

Maserati is of course known for its luxurious and stylish cars, but their performance on the track is not to be missed either. In Formula 1, Maserati was very competitive in the 1950s. For example, they won the Italian GP in 1953 with Juan Manuel Fangio behind the wheel. But here the song did not die to death. Fangio, driving a Maserati, has one of the worst performances in Formula 1 ever. He started well but dropped to sixteenth after a pit stop. But all’s well, that ends well, because Maserati also won the race on the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife in 1957. Typical performance for the Italian car manufacturer, you can’t do better.

On the Internet we read something about the Maserati MC20, which was supposed to be released in 2023, we think the plan went wrong, but hey, the year is not over yet. Who knows, soon we may see a new Supercar from the famous Trident manufacturer, but for now we can still enjoy the legendary four doors, or ‘Quattroporte’.
