The power of a mini holiday on Veluwe

A mini-vacation may be short in duration, but the impact is often no less. Rest has many benefits. A change of scenery always gives me new energy, and it doesn’t matter how far or how close. Spending time with the people you care about, somewhere away from home, always creates new, special memories. And a mini vacation is also an excellent solution to combat stress.

I went to Veluwe with my two-year-old daughter for a short vacation. Camping in March turned out to be a little cold, but not fun!

Camping at Landal Coldenhove holiday park

You probably know Landal Greenparks holiday parks. You can find them all over the Netherlands, but also in Germany, Belgium and Austria, for example. There are a total of 110 parks with bungalows in Europe. In any case, it is a household name in the Netherlands, because who has not spent a weekend in the Landal garden with their family or friends?

What most people don’t know is that you can also camp at Landal Gardens. In the Netherlands there are six parks with campsites, two of which are on the Veluwe. The advantage of these camps is that you can camp traditionally with your own tent, camper or caravan, but you can also use all the facilities of the park. Like a swimming pool, playgrounds, restaurants, etc. If you want to camp with (small) children, it’s the best of both worlds.

Landal Coldenhove on the Veluwe also has a camp. If you want more convenience and luxury than just camping, then this is the place for you put up big tents for the trip!

Glamping in the middle of nature

Although traditional camping is fun, with a two-year-old little girl the advantages of safari tents are so great that I still prefer them to a regular tent. Safari tents offer more comfort: you sleep in comfortable beds, you have your own kitchen and lots of space. The best thing about the safari tents at Landal Coldenhove holiday park is their location. At the very back of the park is a beautiful forest, and there are only five safari tents there. You are completely away from the crowd, you don’t hear or see other people and within seconds you are in the middle of the forest.

There are no sanitary facilities, but you can use them at the campsite (about 200 meters away). This way you still have the feeling that you are actually camping.

The tent is so big that you can sleep six people. You can use a pellet stove for the colder months. At the beginning of the camping season it was day and night.
