The new Mini electric car has a dog on board

Mini introduces its new electric car: Aceman. But that’s not all, you get a free dog and car.

Mini introduced the new Aceman at the Beijing Auto Show. This electric car is between Cooper and Countryman: in price and size.

But if you buy this model, you’re not just a car, you’re getting a furry friend. Well, sort of.

This is the new electric car from Mini

Mini calls the new Aceman the first crossover in the premium small car segment. The electric car is 4 meters long and 1.75 meters wide, but it’s more spacious inside than you think. It can accommodate five people.

With the new Mini Aceman you can choose from different engines and batteries. The entry-level model has a 42.5 kWh battery (310 km of range) and a 186 hp engine. There is also an SE version with 221 hp and a 54.2 kWh battery (406 km of range).

Free dog included

The interior of the Aceman is well modified by the Mini. there’s an 8.4-inch circular OLED screen on the fabric-covered dashboard. Classic Mini switches should not be missing from the model, so that it can feel familiar despite the novelty.

In terms of operation, Mini has taken a special approach. Now it is the brand’s first electric car with a complete voice assistant in the form of a dog. When you shout ‘Hey Mini’ a Spike will appear on your screen. The big advantage: you don’t have to feed.

Spike can provide you with all kinds of tasks. So you can operate your navigation, answer the phone and control the entertainment system of your electric car. In addition, the system also learns your behavior patterns to serve you better. For example, it can automatically lower your window when you reach a parking garage barrier.

That just leaves the price of the new Mini. The cheapest version of the electric car will cost 38,990 euros. This means you are eligible for a SEPP subsidy, which will reduce the price to 36,040 euros. No pricing has been revealed for the other variants yet.
