An individual from Mississippi has been accused of slaying his wife and consuming her vehicle, as authorities pursue her remaining parts.

The suspect, a 41-year-old man, was captured by local law enforcement on Tuesday, following a report of a woman being attacked in a nearby county. The victim, identified as the suspect’s 38-year-old wife, was declared missing shortly thereafter.

In the wake of examining the scene, police uncovered proof that the suspect had set the victim’s car ablaze to cover his tracks. Investigators have since launched an extensive search for the woman’s remains.

The suspect has been charged with murder and arson, and is being held without bail pending trial.

The attack has sent shockwaves through the local community, as authorities continue to search for the missing woman.

“This is a tragic event,” said Sheriff Joe Anderson of the neighboring county. “We are doing our utmost to locate the victim and bring the perpetrator to justice.”

The case has caught the attention of the entire state, as law enforcement and citizens alike rally together in an effort to find the missing woman and bring her killer to justice.

“The people of Mississippi are united in their grief and in their resolve to find the victim and ensure that justice is served,” said Governor Phil Bryant. “We will not rest until the suspect is convicted and the victim’s remains are found.”
