Mitsubishi ASX under the knife again

Mitsubishi ASX under the knife again

You wouldn’t expect it from a model that has been on the market for ten years, but the Mitsubishi ASX has been reinvigorated. In fact, it is the most advanced update since its launch in 2010.

Despite the fact that the Mitsubishi ASX is basically quite old, the model still sells very well all over the world, also in Europe. It’s the third best-selling Mitsubishi in the world, so it’s not time to completely change the model just yet.

Completely updated

The updated ASX features an all-new front end, designed in accordance with Mitsubishi’s latest design language. The front end shows many similarities to that of the new Mitsubishi L200. The rear hasn’t changed much, but thanks to new LED headlights and a silver skid plate, it looks more modern.

Inside, nothing has changed, except the display of the 8-inch infotainment system is new. The system called Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) and smartphone connectivity has been completely improved and now comes (depending on version) with integrated TomTom navigation and real-time traffic information.

It is not yet known which versions will come to Holland. Mitsubishi informs you that the European market ASX will be powered by a 2.0 liter MIVEC petrol engine, mated to a manual gearbox or CVT automatic transmission and with 2WD or 4WD.

The new ASX makes its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Dutch prices and planned market launch will be announced later.
