Yokohama in OE on the new Mitsubishi Triton pick-up

Yokohama Rubber has announced that it will supply Geolandar A/T G94s for the initial equipment of the new Triton pick-up, launched by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in February 2024 in Japan. The Triton was first introduced to the Japanese market 12 years ago and has 265/60R18 110H tires. The new Triton was launched in Thailand in July 2023, the Philippines in January 2024, Australia and New Zealand in March 2024, and will later be launched in about 100 countries around the world.

Geolandar A/T G94 is an off-road tire for SUVs and pickup trucks that offers excellent performance in terms of fuel efficiency, comfort and safety, as well as excellent performance on various road surfaces. The durability of the new tires has been increased by improving the stiffness of the tread to handle the harsh driving conditions that motor vehicles often face. The attachment and profile are specially designed, to provide a high level of balance between other opposing performance factors, such as control stability and resistance to movement, while achieving a high level of silence.

Triton is a strategic vehicle of Mitsubishi Motors and is sold in almost 150 countries around the world. Now in its sixth generation, the all-new Triton has been redesigned for the first time in nine years. Based on the concept of “Power for Adventure”, all aspects of the Triton have been completely rethought, from the interior and exterior design to the chassis and engine. Safety, comfort and environmental performance, as well as durability and performance on the road, have also been improved.

As part of Yokohama Rubber’s mid-term management plan (2024-2026), the so-called Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), a consumer tire business aims to increase sales relationships for high value-added products. One of the key initiatives of this strategy is the promotion of world famous ADVAN brand tires and GEOLANDAR brand tires for SUVs and cargo trucks as original equipment.
