Cupra and FC Barcelona they decided to extend their partnership for five more seasons, i.e. until 2029. So the Spanish brand remains the Official Automotive and Mobility Partner, and competitors will be able to use cars from the Cupra offer. This partnership has been ongoing since 2019, and now extends to all sports disciplines of FC Barcelona, ​​that is, apart from men’s football, also to women’s football, basketball, futsal, handball and hockey of roller.

The ceremony accompanying the signing of the new partnership agreement was attended by the CEO of Cupra, Wayne Griffiths, and the president of FC Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta. First players from different parts of the club also participated in the meeting: Robert Lewandowski (men’s soccer), Jana Fernández (women’s soccer), James Nnaji (basketball), Miquel Feixas (futsal), Domen Makuc (handball) and Matías Pascual (roller hockey).

During the ceremony, players had the opportunity to go behind the wheel Cupra DarkRebel model, which was presented at the Munich Motor Show last year. This concept is a three-door brake with an electric drive with a power of more than 450 HP and accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds. So Robert Lewandowski will have to own another model from the Cupra range as his new company car. So far, he drove the Formentor VZ5 minivan, the most powerful model of the brand, powered by a 5-cylinder TFSI 2.5 engine from Audi, developing 390 HP. It’s hard to say what Lewy will choose this time, but we’d bet on the new brand, Tavascana. This is a middle-class electric SUV coupe, which in the VZ version reaches 340 HP and accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds.
