Wildcat EV Concept, will be the stylistic basis for future Buicks – Industry and Analysis

The future concept of the Buick Wildcat EV that General Motors launched in 2022 may soon turn into a series model, given that the company decides to continue investing in the field of electrification. The production sedan that can result from this Concept – says the GM Authority – should above all serve Buick to present and confirm the identity of the new brand, also laying the foundation for future models.

According to GM Officials this model is expected to be the basis of four new Buicks (all of which are sent to the US). These are the Envista, the updated Encore GX of 2024, the Envision of 2024 and the next-generation Enclave planned for 2025. For other markets, such as China, the GM Group brand has already received inspiration from the Wildcat EV for the LaCrosse of 2024 and for Century GL8 released in 2023.

Design features include a front end with a trapezoidal grille, as well as strong body lines, with subtle high-light elements and curved shapes. The launch of the 2022 Buick Wildcat EV concept coincided – GM Authority notes – with the release of Buick’s new Tri-Shield badge.
