Mazda is teasing a new CX-80, also for the Netherlands

Mazda has been on the rise in recent years. The new design language is attracting many people (Mazdarati anyone?) and in recent years the Japanese brand has released several new models. The most amazing of course is the Mazda MX-30 R-EV, with a Wankel engine! In section b there is a Mazda Yaris. At its peak, the Mazda CX-60 should win over customers with families. However, Mazda’s now teasing us with a teaser for the CX-80, which is also coming to the Netherlands!

Mazda Grand Architecture-platform

Like the Mazda CX-60, the CX-80 is also on the list Great Mazda architecturem. For a long time, the CX-60 was the largest model that Mazda sold in the Netherlands. However, that is about to change. The Mazda CX-80, which has been on sale in other markets for some time, should be Mazda’s flagship in Europe. It is therefore the largest car that Mazda will sell in Europe.

The CX-60 is on the same platform, but it’s smaller

Mazda CX-80 is 7-zits

If Mazda is to be believed, the biggest Mazda is not a watery, clunky car. According to the Japanese brand, the CX-80 is big, comfortable and drives as we’ve come to expect from Mazda. In other words, with lots of emotions and pleasant driving characteristics. In total, the CX-80 will be about five meters in length, with a wheelbase of more than 3 meters. Bigger than the Mazda CX-60. Result: There is room for a third row of seats! This makes the Mazda CX-80 available as a real 7 seater. A market that seemed to dry up a bit, but has revived in recent years. It is also possible to order the Mazda CX-80 as a 6-seater. The seats in the second row are more luxurious and larger (captain’s seats according to Mazda).

However, more information will come next week. On April 18, Mazda will unveil the new CX-80 on the Dutch market. Ordering can be done very quickly, Mazda opens the order books for me. Deliveries are expected to begin in autumn 2024.
