The former Games in Agueda in Portugal and Matterley Valley in England will also be part of the Motocross World Championship calendar in the 2025 season. Indonesia was reduced to one event.
Motocross World Championship promoter Infront Moto Racing has good news for MXGP fans and riders ahead of Christmas. Along with Agueda and the Matterley Valley, two traditional and impressive venues will remain on the Grand Prix calendar in 2025.
After a change in Agueda’s ownership, signs were still pointing to a summer exit. Now the Portuguese model appears on the MXGP calendar for 2025. As things stand, the Crossodromo Internacional de Agueda will be the seventh stop of the World Cup on May 4. The course was transported in a different direction for the first time in 2024.
The Matterley Basin meadow course in Winchester, Hampshire, will also return to the calendar in 2025. The British track was the venue for the Motocross of Nations (MXoN) in 2024 – there was a historic battle between Honda stars Tim Gajser and Jett Lawrence. The date of the British Grand Prix is June 22. The first stop in Indonesia on June 29 was canceled, the second on July 6 remains on the calendar.
Therefore, the current MXGP calendar includes 20 events as planned. The season will start on March 2 with the Argentine GP, which will be held for the first time at the new location in Cordoba. The German World Cup race will be held on June 1 in Teutschenthal, and the Swiss GP will be held in Frauenfeld on April 21. The Motocross of Nations (MXoN) will be held on October 5 in Crawfordsville, Indiana in the United States.
