On 27 November, the FIM published the official test calendar for 2025 for the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 classes. Testing will be done again before and during the season.
MotoGP pre-season test dates were announced at the end of August. In-season test data is now also published.
The test season started in Barcelona on November 19. The shakedown test will take place in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit from January 31 to February 2. Test drivers, trunks and, from 2024, regular drivers of those manufacturers who are classified in the performance group the lowest D by special agreement due to their low total points in the constructors’ championship are allowed to participate. This applies to Honda and Yamaha at the start of the 2025 season, as it was in 2024.
All regular drivers will be in action from February 5 to 7. Another pre-season test will be held at Buriram from February 12 to 13, before the 2025 MotoGP season gets underway there with the first race in early March.
Pre-season testing for the 2025 MotoGP season:
Shakedown-Test Sepang: 31 January to 2 February
Sepang test: 5. then 7. February
Buriram Exam: February 12 and 13
In 2025 there will also be three test days during the season. The drivers will then take to the track on the Monday after the race weekend.
Test dates in the 2025 MotoGP season:
Jerez-Test: 28. April
Test of Aragon: June 9
Misano Exam: 15 September
Test dates for the Moto2 and Moto3 classes have also been announced. The start will take place in Portimao, where the private test will take place. The official test in Jerez, where Moto2 and Moto3 share the track, takes place in February.
