In the second practice session for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, a race for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the No. 86 Acura Team Penske of Dane Cameron and Juan Pablo Montoya edged out the No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R of Jordan Taylor and Renger van der Zande of Wayne Taylor Racing.
The No. 86 Acura of Cameron and Montoya outpaced the No. 10 Cadillac of Taylor and van der Zande in the second practice session of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, a race in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Both teams secured the two fastest times of the session, with Cameron’s 1:48.305 lap 0.074 seconds quicker than van der Zande’s 1:48.379.
The battle for the fastest time of the session was intense, as the two cars traded laps near the top of the time sheets throughout the session. At the end, though, it was the No. 86 Acura securing the fastest time. The No. 10 Cadillac of Taylor and van der Zande was just 0.074 seconds slower, finishing in second place.
The No. 5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi-V.R of Filipe Albuquerque and Joao Barbosa secured the third fastest time of the session with a 1:48.827 lap. The No. 7 Team Penske Acura DPi-V.R of Helio Castroneves and Ricky Taylor was fourth, followed by the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-V.R of Pipo Derani and Felipe Nasr in fifth.
The second practice session of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring provided a preview of the thrilling battle that is sure to unfold during the race.
