Kia wins another design award. The jury at Automotive Design Week 2024 has announced Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy as the winner in the ‘Brand Design Language’ category.

Since the early 1980s, the Automotive Design Awards have been an international recognition for design teams responsible for outstanding concepts, production models and design philosophies. The jury, made up of renowned automotive journalists and designers, selects the winners each year from a pre-selected number of ten production cars, ten concept cars and five design languages.

The panel of representatives for the 2024 Automotive Design Award says: “Kia has taken an unconventional approach to its ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy with the goal of bringing about change. Kia is not afraid to take risks. Kia’s new models push the boundaries with their unique design language and the brand has created an innovative identity.”

The latest award follows a number of other accolades recently awarded to Kia. For example, the EV9, the brand’s best electric model, won the following titles: ‘2024 World Car of the Year’, ‘2024 North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year’ as well as ‘Grand Winner of the Car of the Year’ Women around the world of the year’. And he also won ‘Gold’ at the recently held iF Design awards.

Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Innovation at Kia Global, said: “Together with ‘Opposites United’ we are using the power of design to create a future of mobility that is innovative, sustainable and makes people’s lives easier. This award recognizes the motivation and the spirit of our international team.”

The winners of the 2024 Automotive Design Award were announced at a ceremony at the ADI Design Museum in Milan. During Milan Design Week, held from April 15 to 21, Kia presents a Cultural Communication Design Project inspired by the ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy.
