New: 2024 Jeep Avenger E-hybrid

New: 2024 Jeep Avenger E-hybrid

Jeep Avenger is a car of the year 2023. This mainly concerns the electric version with a 54 kWh battery pack. Jeep also offers a 1.2 petrol. There is still a symbolic space in between; Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid. A small hybrid, which, according to Jeep, should complete the Avenger lineup.

MHEV technology for Avenger

The new version of the Avenger is therefore a so-called mild hybrid. In practice, this means a small battery pack that is charged by breaking an electric motor or by running a gasoline engine. Charging using a plug is therefore unnecessary. Jeep chooses to connect the electric motor to the gearbox. As a result, the e-Hybrid is always equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission. What Jeep calls the e-DCT6 transmission.

Stille Avenger up to 30 km/h

The 1.2 liter three-cylinder petrol engine produces 100 hp and a maximum torque of 205 Nm. Electric motor adds another 21 kW (28.6 hp) and 55 Nm. It is impossible to add these figures together, but Jeep itself does not clearly indicate what exactly the combined power is. The same applies to the battery pack, which Jeep doesn’t want to say much about, except for the 48V battery.
However, the Avenger can drive fully electric at up to 30 kilometers per hour, for a distance of one (1) kilometer. Parking is also fully electric, while the combustion engine is also switched off when the gas is released. Of course, the electric motor also helps to increase the speed. According to Jeep, all of this should reduce consumption by 15 percent. Overall, consumption is about 1 in 20 according to Jeep. Excellent performance for the size of the car.
