A new AED has been installed at Topgroup on the Flevopoort business park in Lelystad. The AED is located at Apolloweg 88 on the outside wall, next to the warehouse entrance. This public AED is available to every provider who is registered with the mijnhartslagnu.nl website.
With the installation of the device, Topgroup wants to contribute to the safety of the employees of its three companies and surrounding companies.
Support for cardiac arrest
An AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) is a portable device that can restart the heart using an electric shock. In the event of a cardiac arrest, it is important to provide help as soon as possible. Every second counts. People near Apolloweg can pass through mijnhartslagnu.nl to register, so they can receive notifications when their help is needed. They will also get an access code to use the device on this site. The use of an AED is self-explanatory.
Justin Teleng, technical manager at Topgroup, took charge of the AED installation. ‘In the context of sustainable business we believe it is important to make a social contribution. Our companies (RAM Mounts Benelux, Topcats and Topdek) have a total of about 30 employees. The placement of AEDs contributes to their safety,’ says Teleng, who is also an emergency response officer in the company. The municipality of Lelystad stimulates the installation of AED equipment with the help of a grant.
