Cupra ready to take off. Check out the new concept

The Volkswagen Group was surprised in its own backyard. In addition to the expected small, electric GTI concept, a sports group from the Cupra brand was also presented in Munich.

Cupra is clearly on a roll. Although Kiti’s logo could not be seen in the entire group’s evening presentation, there are some very exciting times ahead for the sports brand. Just look at the idea of ​​DarkRebel.

As one of the designers said, Cupra does not have much experience, which allows to design cars from scratch, without adhering to established standards. And so here we have something that can successfully play the role of the Batmobile. The car, which is more than two meters wide and only 1.3 meters long, has doors that open upwards, almost like a Lamborghini.

The DarkRebel is very similar to the Ferrari FF, although there have been rumors that we have something of a Toyota Supra here. But it doesn’t matter. The two-seat coupe is, of course, electric, although it is difficult to talk about high technical data here. It was an experiment, which allowed the installation of large rims or, for example, the removal of part of the steering wheel, which would prevent the DarkRebel from obtaining road approval. Using bamboo in the interior is definitely an interesting move.

The production version will appear in the future, and it has a lot of work ahead of it. Representatives of the brand openly talk about its entry into new markets: the United States and the Middle East. But before that happens, we can expect to see a prototype on the road Tavascan.
