The province of New Brunswick has recently taken steps to accelerate the process of licensing out-of-province nurses. In a move that is sure to help the province’s healthcare system, the province is now allowing nurses to complete the licensure process remotely.
This process, which was previously completed in-person, has now been moved online. The move is set to make the process more efficient and accessible for nurses who are living outside of the province. By moving the process online, nurses no longer have to travel to New Brunswick to complete their licensure and can instead do so from the comfort of their own home.
The process begins with a nurse submitting an application to the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of New Brunswick (CLPNB). The application can be completed online and will require the nurse to provide a range of documents such as proof of identity, education, and experience. Once the application is approved, the nurse will be required to complete a background check, which is also done online.
The next step of the process is for the nurse to submit their documents to the CLPNB. This includes proof of identity, education, and experience. Once the documents are submitted and approved, the nurse will be required to complete a licensing exam. The exam is conducted online and is designed to test the applicant’s knowledge of the nursing profession.
Once the nurse passes the exam and has been approved by the CLPNB, they will be issued a license to practice nursing in New Brunswick. This license will allow the nurse to work in the province and provide patients with the care they need.
This new process is sure to make the licensing process much easier and more efficient for out-of-province nurses who wish to work in New Brunswick. Not only will it save them time and money, but it will also make it easier for the province to attract more qualified nurses to help with its healthcare needs. With this new process in place, the province of New Brunswick is sure to benefit from an influx of skilled nurses in the near future.
