Bugatti made history on February 1 with its Chiron Biography, a unique model sold at auction by RM Sotheby’s for the dizzying sum of 9,792,500! This offer sets a new record as the highest amount ever paid for a new car at auction.

An unusual decision was made, to complete the development car, make it homolated and sold at auction. So it is as a victim of its success that the Chiron and even more so this unique example, enters the history of the car.

The model in question is finished with a silver shade called “Atlantic Silver”which is completed with a Royal Blue Carbon lower part, the model has alloy wheels that have been painted “Le Patron” and polished aluminum accents to match the bodywork.

Inside, the Profile is the only Chiron model to receive a woven leather finish on the dashboard, door panels and rear wall inlay.

Let’s add that by having a photo session in the streets of Paris before the sale, the Chiron Profile drew the ire of Paris City Hall with a series of photos taken in front of the Eiffel Tower and published on social networks. The photo of a Bugatti on the bike lane did not please the city’s communications department, which announced the threat of a fine of 135… I’m not sure there is enough to make the protagonists who would benefit from a little extra publicity. .
