But today, the time from a year to even 18 months is becoming the standard! The carwow website has tracked how long it will take us to wait for our coveted new car.

Analysis shows that most car models have to wait up to nine months from ordering. For some examples, people who are less fortunate and have more time will have to show patience from one to two years.

The reasons for this are – of course – the shortage of microprocessors used in the automotive sector, the shortage of other components related to the disruption of supply chains, as well as the disruption of production and losses due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

And although the producers are trying to control the situation, we cannot count on the return and delivery as normal as before the outbreak of the epidemic in the near future.

Today, on average, you have to wait almost 9 months for a new car in Western Europe. There is no significant difference between cars with internal combustion engines and electric ones.

Currently, the Volvo V60 Cross Country with a combustion engine has the longest delivery time of 22 months. But almost as long, 20 months, you have to wait for the Audi Q4 e-tron model. The situation is not better in the case of Porsche 911 Carrera – 19 months of waiting, Škoda Enyaq iV – 18 months of waiting), or Kia EV7 (also 18 months of waiting) and Kia Sorento (16 months of waiting).

Buyers who choose the Volkswagen Touran, which is very popular in the market, will have to wait patiently for 14 months for its delivery. Interestingly, some car models are currently not even available to order.
