Hyundai is primed to launch the newest iteration of its Verna sedan next week, with the highly-anticipated model boasting a range of advanced features and technical specifications.
The new-gen Hyundai Verna will showcase a plethora of cutting-edge amenities, from a powertrain lineup that includes a 1.5-liter petrol, a 1.5-liter diesel, and a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine, to a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) technology.
The Verna’s 1.5-liter petrol engine, which is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic, delivers a maximum power output of 115 PS and a peak torque of 144 Nm. The 1.5-liter diesel engine, on the other hand, is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and produces a maximum power output of 115 PS and a peak torque of 250 Nm. The turbocharged 1.4-liter petrol engine is the most powerful option, delivering a maximum power output of 140 PS and a peak torque of 242 Nm.
In terms of safety, the new-gen Verna will come with ADAS technology such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Driver Attention Warning (DAW). Additionally, the vehicle is also equipped with an Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system, Hill Assist Control (HAC), and seven airbags.
Other features of the new-gen Verna include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a digital instrument cluster, and a wireless charging pad.
