General Motors is working on revamping its entire SUV and crossover lineup, including GMC’s three mainstays: the Yukon, Acadia and Terrain. While Acadia has officially started with Yukon is just around the cornerthis is the first official glimpse of a smaller version of the brand that is finding its brightest.

Basically, GMC is sculpting its crossovers to resemble the full-size Yukon SUV, which the company in turn redesigned to match its current trucks. Newly designed headlights and a vertical grille give the Terrain more presence, while the older AT4 trim adds a few unique touches. As before, this trim should offer all-terrain tires and a unique front design to slightly improve its approach angle.

Inside, the 2025 GMC Terrain should borrow cues from its Acadia big brother. That said, expect a large vertically oriented touchscreen rocking the Google-based infotainment system. Since GMC’s redesign follows the new Chevy Equinox as well, the third-generation Terrain should also pack a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (as before) producing 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission should be standard fare in place of the 9-speed unit. Front-wheel drive will also be standard, though you’ll still be able to get all-wheel drive as an option.

Since GMC is officially teasing it this time, we should know more about the 2025 GMC Terrain soon.
