New Audi RS5 Avant, spy photos show visit of 4 rings with ‘steroids’

The current model of the Audi A5 offers various versions, including Coupé, Cabriolet and Sportback, while sedan and station wagon versions are reserved for the A4 series. There is one missing, ie next RS5 Avantwhich recently appeared during winter testing.

To bring some order to the massive series of upcoming cars from the brand with four rings, we’ve laid out for you all the upcoming Audi models coming out between now and 2026. From the latest images, the Audi RS 5 Avant presents itself as a car. with a very muscular and determined character. Equipment and widebody design with strong front and rear fenders, the car has a large grille, with a horizontal design line in the middle of the front that houses the license plate holder and generous air intakes on the sides.

The roofline, slightly curved towards the rear, provides ample space for rear passengers, as well as rear-mounted door handles. Completing the exterior look of the 2025 RS 5 Avant is dual exhaust pipes RS ovals, spoiler-mounted roof and, perhaps, a full width light bar out back.

The chassis of the next RS5 Avant has been redesigned, with a seemingly minimal and complex setup compared to the current A5 Avant, which makes it more connected to the ground during cornering. The brakes are made of perforated discs on both axles, but it will also be possible to configure this car with carbon-ceramic discs.

According to rumours, the next RS 5 Avant will include a V6 engine with electric unit (of which we have no measurements). Perhaps we can expect a power of more than 444 hp and a torque of more than 600 nm, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in about 4.1 seconds. The new model will still have Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system, paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to both axles.

A recent revision of Audi’s model nomenclature provides for the use of even numbers for electric vehicles and odd numbers for models with internal combustion engines. As a result, A4 will become A5 and A6 will be called A7. The RS 5 Avant, however, it will replace the current RS 4 Avant. Audi is expected to launch the new RS 5 Avant towards the end of the year or early 2025, along with the RS 4.
