Do you remember the Ford Edge? In the United States, the Edge company has a sister model of the luxury brand Ford Lincoln. The SUV called Lincoln Nautilus has now been given a completely new generation.

The Ford Edge, which is no longer available in the Netherlands, has been Lincoln’s cousin for years and has now been presented in a completely new form. The previous model made its public debut in 2015 as the MKX and was renamed the Nautilus during a complete facelift in 2017. Three years later it went under the knife for the second time and now that the calendar is approaching 2023, Lincoln believes the time has come for the Nautilus brand new.

The new Lincoln Nautilus grows in length by about 8 centimeters and also grows in length and width by several centimeters. The wheel is increased by 5 centimeters compared to the previous model. The new generation Nautilus looks sharper from every angle than its predecessor. It looks universal and has a chrome strip that goes right through the grille and even visually divides the headlights. The handle is amazing, which is inserted into the shoulder line in a special way.

The interior of the Lincoln Nautilus is at least impressive. Inside we find a large display that runs the entire width of the dashboard and is placed relatively high, while the steering wheel, the rest of the dashboard and the 11.1-inch infotainment screen in the middle of the country are placed further down. Type i-Cockpit 2.0. Lincoln provides the Nautilus with an air purifier that can blow three fragrances into the cabin, fragrances called Mystic Forest, Ozonic Azure and Violet Cashmere. Yes. According to Lincoln, the new Nautilus can find its way completely independently on the highway thanks to BlueCruise and you don’t even have to put your hands on the wheel.

Unlike the previous model, the Lincoln Nautilus no longer has six cylinders. Instead, the SUV always has four cylinders. There will be about 250 hp 2.0 turbo engine with eight-speed automatic transmission, but also a hybrid car. The 310 hp car consists of a 2.0 stroke, a 136 hp electric motor and a CVT. Ford’s Chinese partner, Changan, is building a new company in China and shipping it from there to the United States.
