Design

The Polestar 2 gets a facelift for the 2024 model year. There’s not much new to take on the design front, except for the arrival of SmartZone. This belt with all kinds of safety features replaces the old grille. Additionally, the 20-inch Performance Package wheels now share their design with those on the new Polestar 3.

External changes may be small, but under the skin Polestar 2 is making great progress. First of all, the car now has rear-wheel drive as a base, a switch previously announced for the tech-related Volvo XC40. At the same time, Polestar offers a new generation of electric motors and batteries that improve efficiency and performance.

The base version is still called the Standard Range Single engine and gets 272 hp with a 69 kWh battery pack. You can also order this version as a Long Range with an 82 kWh battery. Finally, you can choose the Dual Motor option, optionally with the sports Performance Package.
