(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Porsche Taycan (buy used Porsche Taycan now) has been on the market since 2019; accordingly, the facelift will be paid for in 2023 or 2024. Now there are Erlkönig’s first pictures of the car. The visual and technical changes are obviously not impressive, but with a facelift we can have a new top version that can be called the Turbo GT.

Porsche Taycan Turbo GT as Erlkönig
The new version of the Porsche Taycan was recently photographed by our Erlkönig hunters at the Nürburgring. The pictures show a very sporty front with a split and above all a fixed rear wing. Accordingly, it should be a new high-end version of the games. This should be called the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and compete against the Tesla Model S Plaid, writes Autoexpress.
For the Taycan, the lineup has so far extended to the Turbo S, which is why the rumored name Turbo GT seems appropriate. Because of this it represents the top version of the Porsche Cayenne over the Turbo S.
In terms of race time, the Taycan Turbo S is still no rival to the Tesla Model S Plaid.
The Taycan Turbo S has 560 kW and manages the sprint to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. It’s not bad, but it’s still not the same opponent of the Tesla Model S Plaid, because it has 750 kW and makes a normal run in 2.1 seconds (with Start Distributing)
Porsche would have to try to win with a race time of 2.1 seconds. Like the Tesla, the Porsche will be powered by three engines, one working in the front and two in the back. Two motors on the rear axle and torque vectoring can make balancing easier.
With this, Porsche can improve the lap time on the Nordschleife again: The record holder at the Nürburgring so far is the Porsche Taycan Turbo S (7 minutes 33 seconds)Tesla Model Plaid managed only 7:35 minutes.
The facelift does not bring any technical changes with it
Since the Turbo S already costs around 190,000 euros, the Turbo GT will easily pass the 200,000 euro mark. This would put Porsche well behind Tesla in terms of price, because the Model S Plaid is already available for around 140,000 euros.
The pictures above show what the cheaper versions of the facelifted Taycan and the facelifted Taycan Cross Turismo could look like. After that, the car received new, larger lights and slightly modified bumpers.
Technically, a facelift (apart from a new top version) should bring little. Porsche reserves the right to make the following changes for example: The The new generation Taycan is scheduled to debut in 2027 and based on the Scalable Systems Platform (SSP), as we previously reported. The planned electric version of the Panamera, which will have a longer wheelbase of 3.10 meters than the Taycan II, will also be based on the same architecture.
