Lexus UX is updated with the new year, from all points of view. For the aesthetic level, the new color Sonic Copper comes, and, for the F-SPORT and F-SPORT Design versions, a further variant of the two-tone combination, which runs from the front pillar to the rear pillar. The UX 250h model has been replaced by the new UX 300h, which is still powered by a 2-litre inline four-cylinder petrol unit, but with a battery-powered rear motor fitted to a larger 5.6-litre four-wheel-drive e-Four system. more powerful than the previous one, which goes from 7 HP to 41 HP. Furthermore, thanks to the new 60-cell, 222-volt lithium-ion battery, which replaces the previous 180-cell, 216-volt nickel-metal hydride battery, the total power reaches 199 HP compared to the 184 HP of the 250h , for an increase of 8%. The electric front-wheel drive UX 300e, however, gets a 72.8 lithium ion battery, instead of the previous 54.3 kWh, and boasts a DC charging time from 0% to 80 reduced from 80 to 60 minutes.
Moreover, thanks to the updates introduced last year, the range has increased by more than 40%, reaching 450 km.
In terms of comfort and safety, we feature the possibility of having a new 12.3-inch digital display on request, on all UX models; while the 8-inch multimedia touchscreen has also been updated. In addition, the steering wheel has been modified to integrate a Driver Monitor camera that constantly monitors the driver’s attention and, in the event of an emergency, activates the Driver’s Emergency Stop, bringing the vehicle to a controlled stop and activating the emergency lights. . Finally, two other features called Proactive Driving Assist and Safe Exit Assist are added to the latest version of the Lexus Safety System +. The first uses the car’s front camera to see low-speed hazards in the city, such as pedestrians about to cross; while the second helps prevent collisions between vehicles approaching from behind when the door is opened.
