SP-X/Modena. Maserati will begin production of its MCXtrema racing car, which costs around one million euros, at the end of the summer. The prototype MC20 hypercar, built on a cycle, weighs just 1,300 kg and is powered by a 537 kW/730 hp V6. This corresponds to a power-to-weight ratio of 1.76 kg per horse. That power is distributed by a six-speed sequential transmission.
The sports car, which is not street legal, is being built in a limited series of just 62 units, all of which have already found a buyer. As part of the specially launched MCXlusiva customization program, they had a say in, among other things, color design and painting. When you buy, you also become a member of the MCXperience Club, which provides, among other things, concierge service when visiting racetracks. Final voting activities are currently taking place there.
