Nissan is working on a few new crossovers and SUVs including the Rogue Rock Creek

  • Nissan will reportedly introduce a redesigned Armada this December.
  • The model will likely follow in the footsteps of the 2025 Infiniti QX80 and feature a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6.
  • We can also expect the redesigned Murano and the new Rogue Rock Creek.

Nissan has come a long way in the past few years as the company has introduced new or updated versions of the Altima, Sentra, Kicks, Rogue, Frontier, and Z. Now the company is preparing to launch redesigned versions of the Armada and Murano, both of which will be launched this year.

According to traders who spoke to Autonews, the next-generation crossover will focus on luxury and is similar to the Acura MDX. Details are scarce, but the model is reported to have a bold grille and a “Porsche-like wide rear.”

This crossover is intended to use a new version of the D platform, which is the basis of the current model with the Pathfinder and the Infiniti QX60. The post also says we can expect a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

No word on displacement or output, but the powertrain will be a big change as the current Murano has a 3.5-liter V6 developing 260 hp (194 kW / 264 PS) and 240 lb-ft (325 Nm) of torque. It is paired with an Xtronic variable transmission and an available all-wheel drive system.

The Armada, on the other hand, should replace the 2025 Infiniti QX80. As a result, we can expect a revolutionary design as well as a twin 3.5-liter V6 producing 450 hp (336 kW / 456 PS) and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm) of torque. The SUV is also planned to be more luxurious and high-end, which should not be difficult to accomplish.

Dealers didn’t go into detail, but the QX80 has a 14.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.3-inch infotainment system, and a 9-inch display. This model can also be equipped with ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which is a semi-automated driving system. Level 2 autonomy which allows hands-free operation.

Those won’t be the only new additions as Rogue will receive the Rock Creek treatment. The expansion started on the Pathfinder and will reportedly see its smaller counterpart wearing a lift, off-road tires and a meat roof.

The first game is expected to happen in the third quarter, so we can expect to learn the full details this summer.
