The new Dodge Charger has already been revealed a few hours after its official debut

There is waiting for Nuova Dodge Charger which will officially start today, while in Italy it will be around 5pm. First important because the American manufacturer’s iconic Charger will be electric, targeting a completely revised model generation. On the other hand the Dodge Charger will be hit by one major reforms decided which will completely “break away” from the past of the current generation that we know, and know, to this day.

However, a leak has emerged in these last minutes, a series of images released online a few hours after the official premiere that has completely revealed its specific design; outside and inside the passenger compartment. In terms of styling, we already knew that the new Dodge Charger would still use the brand’s classic models, starting with the timeless Challenger. In fact, there will be an unexpected four-door variant that will allow the Charger to hit the road luxury sedan based on a sportier three-door version that should therefore be named the Charger Daytona. However, there will be no place for the powerful HEMI V8 under the long bonnet, replaced by an electric powertrain that drives the Dodge Charger towards modernity.

From the leak, many details of the interior of the Dodge Charger have emerged for the first time

We already knew almost everything about the exterior appearance of the new generation Dodge Charger. Now the entire front is occupied by headlights which takes up the full width of the front and is incorporated in one piece with the lamp work. The area intended for cooling is reduced to a trapezoidal opening at the base of the front bumper, flanked by two vertical air intakes at the ends. Even at the back, the lighting management follows what has already been seen at the front, so it uses a balanced design of full width; However, the catalysts are absent due to the adoption of the electric unit necessary to push this new Charger on the road.

Even inside, visible for the first time without the presence of concealment, the measure of sport that characterizes the passenger compartment remains high. The dashboard is dominated by two screens; one for driving performance placed behind the steering wheel and the other for managing infotainment which seems to be the same as that already seen on board other models from the galaxy Stellantis of products. The dashboard and door panels are affected by a text pattern that appears to glow and therefore should be able to change the ambient light, probably through a command that can be configured by the occupants. The front seats represent one of the most interesting details of the passenger compartment that this new Dodge Charger features, as well steering wheel covered in Alcantara with accessories and an attractive sports look with a low cut.

There will be versions with one or two electric motors

The Dodge Charger should be offered with variants that have one or two electric motors and power in the order of 340 kW (equal to 462 horses) or 440 kW (equal to 598 horses). These should be joined by a more advanced variant, called the SRT Banshee, which through modifications made by Dodge’s Direct Connection aftermarket department should benefit from at least 500 kW of power equivalent to approximately 680 horsepower in hand. All will adopt 800 Volt technology for charging and an automatic selector with more than two ratios. More details will be made available later this afternoon with the official presentation itself.
