Dacia Sandero Stepway was rated well. Privileged press review: MOTOR No. 15/2024 | French.pl

This year’s fifteenth issue of MOTOR Weekly encourages French car enthusiasts to buy it with its cover. It shows – in the upper right corner – the new Peugeot 5008, and in the lower left corner – the new Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric. A keen eye will also spot the Citroën Berlingo, Opel Zafira and Jeep Grand Cherokee, namely two non-French models from the Stellantis group.

MOTOR shows itself on page 4-5 New Peugeot 5008. This is a car in which the manufacturer offers three types of drives – petrol (actually hybrid mHEV), hybrid PHEV and electric (e-5008), the last in a range of three – with a power of 210 HP, 230 HP and 320 HP. In the latter case, the car has a four-wheel drive. Sure you may like the car, but will the variety of drive units tempt most customers? In Poland maybe not, but in Europe – maybe yes. We will find out in the fall.

The text includes references to the Peugeot 3008, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, DS 7 and Maserati Grecale.

There is a brief explanation on page 6 about this topic New Dacia Duster Polish Prices.

In addition, MOTOR published a similar brief about the production plans of the Stellantis group in Poland (in the form of SKD) Chinese Leapmotor car.

On page 8 in that section Future releases MOTOR mentions, among others: Alfa Romeo Giulia, Alpine A290, Alfa Romeo Milano, Dacia Bigster, Jeep Wagoneer S, Renault 4, Nissan Juke, Opel Frontera (submitted yesterday), Opel Grandland, and Renault Captur i Symbiosis.

Renault Symbioz 2024 - profile

In recent days, there has been a discussion about diesel engines in the comments. I must worry fans – another brand (Volvo) completely abandons this source of drive, as MOTOR informs on page 9.

Next to it was a brief description of the Jeep models that appeared at the conference Easter trip.

4.5 out of 5 stars were awarded to the all-electric Renault Scenic. MOTOR posted this test on pages 10-11, mentioning the Megane E-Tech Electric. The Scenic E-Tech Electric is about 4.5 meters long and has a 170 horsepower engine in the basic version, or 218 hp for an additional fee. However, this more powerful version has a more powerful battery (87 kWh compared to 60 kWh of the basic version), thanks to which it can travel up to 625 km! The average energy consumption during the test was 18.4 kWh/100 km – a very good result.

Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric turns out to be a great and functional car, and of course it also has Google services. MOTOR also praised the operating system. Price – more than PLN 200,000.

On page 15, MOTOR posted a Nissan X-Trail E-Power test. This car costs around PLN 215,000 and offers a lot of comfort, good performance and – for its part – an attractive price, but it consumes a lot of fuel on the highway and the engine is noisy.

Not long ago, at the end of last year, I had an opportunity try the more luxurious version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Today, such a car (in a cheaper version) competed with the Volkswagen Touareg (pages 16-20) and MOTOR had no doubt – Jeep is better!

Dacia Sandero Stepway review is published on page 21. The car was praised for its attractive style, good performance (yes, with the 1.0 engine!), and for its precise gearbox. In terms of disadvantages, it is mentioned some limitations to finish and average driving accuracy. MOTOR also appreciated the high ground clearance, comfortable suspension, easy access to a comfortable driving position and comfortable seats.

The Opel Astra was seen as a possible rival to the Škoda Octavia described on pages 24-25.

On pages 28-31 MOTOR is collected Big mistakes of modern cars. These included fires in some Peugeot 307s and problems with the first generations of 1.5 dCi engines from the Renault Group. In the case of Renault, problematic cards were also shown hands free, and for Fiat, Chrysler and Jeep (from pre-Stellentis times) the convenience of taking remote control of the car using a laptop. Interestingly, in the case of problems with airbags especially in Toyota cars, MOTOR handed over the title to Takata. Well, they were air bag distributors, but…

The editorial team presents 15 great used cars on pages 36-41. These include Citroën Berlingo I generation, Peugeot 107, Renault Clio II and Opel Zafira B. The 107 also named the Citroën C1 twins.

And that’s all MOTOR wrote about the cars we’re interested in in the current issue.
