Bugatti announces the arrival of a new V16 hybrid engine

With each generation of its sports hypercar, Bugatti has raised the standard of design, engineering, performance and craftsmanship to new heights. In June, the next creation of the brand will be officially presented and will have a new V16 hybrid engine. Every element will be taken care of down to the smallest detail, fully embodying the Bugatti DNA. The French manufacturer claims that it was created not only for the present or the future, but “For eternity“.

Although Bugatti is owned by Rimac, it seems it has no immediate plans to abandon internal combustion engine power or downsize. This is because the current W16 will be replaced by a New V16 with hybrid technology.

The information was given through a teaser video published on YouTube by the same French company, which also allows us to see and listen to the sound of the new engine. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have more specific information about the transfer, the power and whether or not it is perfect combination or a a little hybrid.

Either way, clips and photos of attractions attract attention carbon fiber details, on the Bugatti name, on the V16 lettering and on the numbers indicating the firing mechanism. Both sides of the powertrain boast two throttle bodies, each feeding four cylinders.

The soundtrack superimposed on the image lets us hear what the new V-16 sounds like, with a dual-speed gearbox. It also looks better than the W16 in the Veyron and Chiron, but at the moment we don’t know how much it will take up space in the new hypercar.

The current W16 has two narrow-angle V8s built around a single crankshaft. This design allows for a shorter, but wider engine. The presence of a hybrid system, however, could make the new V16 longer. Considering that the Bugatti Chiron develops a maximum power of 1600 HP in the Super Sport version, the new car with a V16 hybrid can exceed it. 2000 CV.
