Fiat Chrysler to pay a dividend of 2.9 billion euros on January 29

MILAN, Jan 13 (Reuters) – Fiat Chrysler announced on Wednesday that the payment of an exceptional dividend of 2.9 billion euros to its shareholders provided by its proposed merger with PSA “has been unconditional”.

This extraordinary dividend, which represents 1.84 euros per share, will be paid on January 29, FCA said in a press release.

Fiat Chrysler and PSA will complete their merger worth more than 42 billion euros on Saturday, which will give birth to Stellantis, the world’s fourth largest car group by volume sales.

Only FCA shareholders owning shares of the Italian-American manufacturer on Friday, the day before this completion, will be able to get the exclusive dividend.

FCA’s largest shareholder is Exor, the holding company of the Agnelli family, with a stake of around 29%. (Giulio Piovaccari, French version Bertrand Boucey)
