‘It’s faster than Formula 1’

Bugatti has completed testing of its most daring creation yet, Bolide, a car intended to give its lucky owners an experience close to the performance of a Formula 1 car, Andy Wallace, Bugatti’s test driver, claims that the acceleration and sensation offered by Bolide is. unprecedented.

It was originally presented as a concept in October 2020, Bolide surprised many with its unparalleled features. Few thought that a car could come from that concept. In fact, Bugatti decided to make it a reality, albeit in a more “tame” version (did you know why the Bugatti grille is shaped like a horse?)

With a powerful 8.0 liter quad-turbo W16 engine, similar to the Chiron Super Sport, the Bolide offers power of 1,578 HP. Thanks to the new carbon fiber monocoque, the Bolide is lighter than the Chiron, weighing approximately 1,451 kg, and can reach a top speed of 380 km/h. However, it’s the speed that Wallace says is the real surprise, comparing it to that of a Formula 1 car.

Bugatti insists that the Bolide is the most powerful model ever produced by the company: thanks to high aerodynamic loads, all-wheel drive, electronic differentials and Michelin Pilot Sport tires, the Bolide can achieve. up to 2.5 G of corner load and has carbon brakes capable of ensuring braking power comparable to that of LMh/LMDh and F1 cars.

Additionally, Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti, teased the automaker’s next vehicle via an Instagram post. This new creation will replace Chiron and promises to be technological work of art.
