‘Retiring Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark to switch to Aston Martin’

Adrian Hallmark will step down as CEO of Bentley with immediate effect. The company just announced. The luxury brand says Hallmark is stepping down at its own request, that this decision was taken ‘in good consultation’ and that the CEO is ‘now looking’ at a position outside the Volkswagen Group.

According to the British business daily Financial Times, Hallmark is close to signing on as the new CEO of Aston Martin, where he will succeed Amadeo Felisa. Aston Martin has not yet officially confirmed this message.

Adrian Hallmark started as CEO of Bentley in 2018, before working as strategy director at Jaguar Land Rover. The luxury brand, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, achieved record sales under Hallmark in 2022. The number of vehicles sold fell again last year, according to the outgoing CEO this was due to ‘declining volumes due to life cycle effects’ ‘.

In 2020, when the brand celebrated its 100th anniversary, Hallmark announced that Bentley would produce fully electric cars by 2030. This goal was abandoned earlier this week. The hybrid models will continue into the new decade, Hallmark said.
