Ernest Franklin McPherson, a long-time resident of the Central Maine area, passed away on Sunday, April 9th at the age of 83.
Mr. McPherson was born to Albert and Martha McPherson in 1936 and spent his formative years in the area. He attended and graduated from the local high school in 1954 and soon after, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, he returned to Central Maine and went on to attend the University of Maine where he earned a degree in mathematics and physics.
Mr. McPherson was an esteemed member of the local community and was widely respected for his professional accomplishments. He enjoyed a successful career in the technology industry and was a renowned expert in the field of computer science. He was a pioneer of the industry, developing innovative solutions and introducing groundbreaking technologies. He was the recipient of numerous awards and accolades throughout his career.
In his spare time, Mr. McPherson enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities. He was an avid reader and enjoyed learning new things. He was a passionate traveler and often said that there was nothing like the thrill of discovering something new. He was a skilled photographer and enjoyed capturing the beauty of nature.
Mr. McPherson was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, two children, and four grandchildren. He will be remembered fondly as a caring and generous man who touched the lives of all who knew him.
