Off-road cars with Ferrari and Lamborghini at the top: the “error” of the navigator.

“We didn’t want to believe what we were seeing. It was a surreal scene.”

The unusual episode happened yesterday, at 5 pm, along the private agro-forestry road that goes from Culmine di San Pietro to Morterone.

It happened yesterday, around five o’clock in the evening, when two racing cars left San Giovanni Bianco, instead of continuing on the road. SP64 towards Moggio, they took the dirt road leading to Morterone.

“We were walking when we heard an unusual sound – explains the witness who witnessed the incident with his father – We thought it was someone in a jeep and instead we found ourselves in front of a Ferrari followed by a Lamborghini. We didn’t want to believe what we were seeing. It was a surreal scene.”

On board the “external” version of the best sports cars were two couples of Estonian nationality.

“When they crossed paths with us, they asked if that was the right way to approach Lake Como. That’s when we explained to them where they were, it would be impossible to continue and they would have to turn around, but where was the problem! The width of the road does not allow this and there are no maneuvering spaces nearby. Finally they managed, I don’t know how, near the toll booth where the road widens a little. They followed us at a walking pace while we walked to our car and from there to SP64, returning to the right road, we resumed our journey towards Bellano”.

The couple in the Ferrari told the girl and her father that the sailor would lead them astray. “The woman next to the driver had a map. I think they were participating in a car randonnée; in fact, when we returned to SP64, we saw other sports cars pass by. I think this adventure will be remembered for a long time. I was only able to ‘steal’ a short video witnessing what happened… I didn’t dare to take a picture, but I couldn’t stop my laughter when I saw them coming”.
