Bugatti in Poland – it’s official
You will soon be able to find out about how the Pietrzak Group was able to bring to Poland the most unique car brand in the world from our exclusive interview with Jakub Pietrzak.
Bugatti was already in Poland during the war
In Poland, the first Bugatti models appeared in the 1920s. These were Type 35, Type 43 and Type 44 machines. The Bugatti Type 35 in question participated in many races, such as the 1929 Tatra Race and Lviv The 1930 Grand Prix, where they were tested by Polish drivers Maurycy Potocki and Wacław Groats. Type 43, on the other hand, competed in pre-war races, breaking speed records with Stanisław Szwarcsztajn and Wacław Kasza on board. In turn, the Type 44 model, nicknamed “Torpedo d’Usine”, was delivered to Krakow in 1928, and then competed in many races in the 1930s, incl. in a public meeting in Ojców.
