The West Virginia University Mountaineers have officially announced their starting lineup for their upcoming matchup against the Maryland Terrapins.
Head Coach Bob Huggins has tabbed sophomore guard Miles McBride, senior forward Gabe Osabuohien, senior forward Derek Culver, freshman guard Jalen Bridges and freshman forward Isaiah Cottrell to lead the Mountaineers onto the court.
McBride, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, has become an integral part of the team, starting in all 24 of West Virginia’s games this season. He is averaging a team-high 15.6 points per game and leads the Mountaineers in three-pointers (33), rebounds (5.1) and assists (3.7).
Osabuohien, a native of Ontario, Canada, is the Mountaineers’ second-leading scorer at 11.9 points per game. He is also the team’s leading rebounder, averaging 6.7 boards per contest.
Culver, a native of Youngstown, Ohio, has started all 24 games and is the team’s third-leading scorer (11.4 points per game) and second-leading rebounder (6.3 boards per game).
Bridges, a native of Beckley, West Virginia, has started all 24 games and is averaging 6.7 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Cottrell, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, has started 22 of the team’s 24 games. He is averaging 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
The Mountaineers will look to the starting 5 to lead them to a victory against Maryland on Saturday, February 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
