Aston Martin, the pride of James Bond and the uniqueness of the Vantage: 665 hp, 325 times

The new generation of the English two-seater sports car is updated inside and out: revised aesthetics especially at the front and an increased power of 155 hp. It was presented for the first time in Italy at the Office del Volo in Milan, near Linate airport. The engine is still the usual 4.0 V8 biturbo of the original AMG, increased from 510 to 665 HP and 800 Nm of torque delivered to the rear wheels only. The Vantage is 4,495mm long, 2,124mm wide including mirrors, 1,275mm tall and has a 2,705mm wheelbase. The dimensions are very similar to the previous one, compared to which it has increased by only 3 cm in length, while the dry weight is 1,605 kg. The price has also already been revealed, which exceeds 212 thousand euros, while deliveries will start from the second quarter of 2024.

At first glance the 2024 Vantage it differs from the previous version by the large front grille, more expressive and aggressive, and by the ribs on the bonnet that bring to mind the line of the generation born in 2005, but also its big sister DB12. The front splitter is wider and lower than before and the cooling intakes at the front and sides have also been updated. Standard rims are 21″ while the brake pads are cast iron, with the possibility of a carbon-ceramic system upon request.
The beating heart of the 2024 Vantage is the original AMG 4.0 V8 biturbo that is already in the previous version, however increased to 665 HP and 800 Nm of torque. The maximum speed is 325 km / h, while the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h takes place in 3.5 seconds. The gearbox is an eight-speed ZF with paddles on the steering wheel, which ensures great performance and quick response. In terms of electronics, the Vantage is equipped with Launch Control and adjustable traction control to get a blazing start from a standstill.

Bright beauty of the Vantage 2024 immediately reveals its true sporting nature. As shown by its GT3 version, which has already started in the World Endurance Championship with two podiums in Qatar, the Vantage is designed to provide incredible performance thanks to the refined technological equipment and the high power of the engine, which transfers the gravity to the rear wheels only. Bodywork and suspension have been beefed up to improve handling at the limit, while new shock absorbers provide tighter handling and high-speed response. The electronic rear differential works in conjunction with the traction control to provide better alignment when entering and exiting corners.

The new Vantage it does not offer the traditional luxury associated with the British brand. The interior is well finished and made of quality materials, such as the hand-stitched leather seats. The digital dashboard features fully customizable graphics, while at the center of the dashboard is a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with the same operating system already introduced on the DB12. It remains many physical buttons, on the steering wheel and in the central tunnel. The standard sound system is refined, which on request can be replaced by the excellent Bowers & Wilkins with 15 amplifiers and 1,170 watts.
