According to police, the accident happened at around 2pm on Government Road 1036 near Öhringen.
The 77-year-old was driving his Opel Corsa from -hringen-Cappel to Neuenstadt when he entered an oncoming road for unknown reasons.
There he struck directly at the oncoming Volvo.

The two-year-old received life-threatening injuries in the crash. “It was revived at the scene of the accident and taken to hospital,” officials write. “That’s when it came to injuries.”
A Volvo driver and an Opel driver were injured and taken to hospital for further treatment.
Both vehicles could not be driven again and had to be towed. The resulting property damage is about 30,000 euros. L1036 was closed until around 5 pm to record an accident.
