Oppo has officially announced the Reno 10 Pro (Plus).

Oppo Reno 10 Pro and Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus have been officially launched in China. Both devices have a large 6.74-inch OLED screen with curved edges and a maximum resolution of 2772 by 1240 pixels. The display also offers a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth images and a maximum brightness of 1400 nits. This means you can also read it well in the sun.

Inside we find several differences. The cheaper Reno 10 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip. That’s a very fast processor, which is also said to be in the OnePlus Nord 3. The Pro Plus has the fastest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip on board, which we know from Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, among others.

Both smartphones have a 32-megapixel selfie camera and 100-watt fast charging. The Reno 10 Pro has a 4600 mAh battery, the Pro Plus is 100 mAh bigger.

On the back we find three lenses. It’s a 50-megapixel main camera with an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The third camera of the Reno 10 Pro is a 32-megapixel telephoto lens that lets you zoom in at 2x. The Pro Plus has a 64-megapixel camera phone that brings 3x closer images. This will also allow you to digitally zoom up to 120x, although the quality will decrease quickly.

The devices run Android 13 with Oppo’s ColorOS skin on it. It modifies the appearance and adds functions. The phones are expected to receive two upgrade versions, for Android 14 and 15, and three years of security patches to keep hackers at bay.

Price and availability

Oppo did not officially release its 2023 flagship, the Pata X6 Pro, in Europe. That probably applies to the Reno 10 Pro and Reno 10 Pro Plus. According to GizmoChina should hit the global market this summer. We’ve asked Oppo if and when we can expect them in Dutch stores. That is still unknown at this time, according to the spokesperson android planet.

The cheapest version of the Reno 10 Pro costs 465 euros in China. So you get 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The cheapest variant of the Oppo Reno 10 Pro Plus, with the same specifications, has a price tag of 510 euros. In the Netherlands they will definitely be more expensive. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro, for example, had a suggested retail price of 749 euros.
