Technically, EQV does not change. It remains on the endowment of its battery of 90 kWh total which produces up to 204 hp. The evolution is aesthetic, thanks to a revised and more advanced design, and technological with a major evolution of the MBUX system and an increase in driving aids.

Reviewed and revised

The new front design is characterized by a unique grille and a powerful bumper. If equipped, the grille is surrounded by an LED light strip.

At the rear, a new chrome trim strip with Mercedes-Benz lettering and redesigned LED lights are part of this new look.

Interior design focused on digital localization

The dashboard has been redesigned with two 12.3-inch wide screens and a new-generation steering wheel with hands-free recognition capabilities.

The center console, also redesigned, accommodates optional wireless charging for smartphones. Other new amenities include a heated steering wheel and a dimmed rear cabin light for night driving.

Ambient lighting can include 64 colors in 10 color worlds. Finally, for more practical access to the rear, the EQV has a sliding door as standard on the left side of the car.

Even more services

The Mercedes me Charge digital service is available for EQV. It offers access to one of the largest public charging networks in Europe, including the Ionity fast charging network.

Last year, Mercedes-Benz started building its charging network which has 2,000 unique charging systems in Europe.

Thanks to the new MBUX features, the route is automatically updated and takes into account real-time traffic data, topography, frequency, available charging stations as well as expected charging time.

A symbol of luxury

The EQV is available on the basis of the AvantGarde line, only in the 5.14 m long version and offers, among other options, EQV exterior packs and interior design.

It can accommodate up to 8 people. Customers can choose from a variety of seating options, including luxury seats. The EQV is only available in 2-wheel drive, front-wheel drive.

To simplify customer choice, optional equipment that is often purchased together is now grouped; revolution for the star maker.

Ambitious car

Easy to handle, the EQV is great around town. Announced with a WLTP consumption of 27 to 29 kWh/100 km for a theoretical range of about 340 km, it will reach 31.9 kWh on the urban route where the speed does not exceed 70 km/h.

The range will be between 250 and 280 km. A true rolling bag, however, it makes its 2,800kg weight feel good, especially during recovery and on speed bumps where the Airmatic suspension (optionally) swallows up obstacles.

We couldn’t reach its top speed (set at 140 km/h as standard or 160 km/h as an option) due to the traffic conditions on our test route, but that’s not the main point.
