Pagani Huayra BC Roadster: a rare homeless monster

Get ready for a loose mouth and sweaty armpits: today the photos and details of the new Pagani Huayra BC Roadster have been presented. And that car makes your wildest dreams come true.

Three years ago, Pagani presented the Huayra BC for the first time, the most powerful version of the Huayra. The letters BC stand for Benny Caiola, an Italian real estate magnate and car collector who bought the very first Pagani and was honored by Horacio Pagani. The 6.0-liter V12 from AMG received a major power treatment for the BC, so that the block produces 800 hp instead of 730 hp in the “regular” Huayra. But already in 2017 the idea arose in Pagani to make an extreme BC Roadster. And today we see the real results of that idea.

The all-new Pagani Huayra BC Roadster features a new 6.0-liter turbocharged V12 engine. It now bears the full Pagani name, but was still developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG. The Roadster gets an output of 803 hp, all of which is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission from Xtrac. However, it has slightly less torque than its roofed sibling, with 1,050 Nm compared to 1,098 Nm. And despite the extra materials to make the car as smooth and stable as the Huayra BC, the Roadster weighs just 35kg more than the 1,250kg version. The car owes this to a new type of carbon fiber, which is light and also very stiff.

Incidentally, Pagani also turned the regular Huayra into a Roadster. The 6.0-liter V12 from the car produces 764 hp, 1,000 Nm of torque and weighs 1,280 kg. And so the Huayra BC Roadster is the ultimate Pagani if ​​you want to drive without a roof. The Huayra BC Roadster is also more aggressive on the outside than the regular Huayra Roadster, thanks to more air vents, larger spoilers and a different carbon fiber. Aero on the BC Roadster pushes the car on the road with 500 kg at a speed of 280 km / h. But even if you drive calmly you will not forget that you are in an extreme version of BC. Inside, the already special interior is decorated with all kinds of symbols in different places in the interior.

It was a major mission for Pagani to meet the expectations of their customers with this Roadster. How did they do that? According to Pagani, it is dangerous to ‘love too much’ your own product. Instead, keep a critical eye on your best creations, they say. And they have done it with this Huayra BC Roadster. According to Pagani, the new luxury car is an ‘easy-to-drive car’ that is already in your pocket after a few kilometers of driving. And then you can also fully enjoy the sky above you. Rare

Unfortunately, this new Roadster is much rarer than the previously presented Huayra BC. Only 20 were made, the version without the roof will come out of the band 40 times. It is more expensive, at €3.085 million compared to €2.35 million for the Huayra BC. So enjoy the pictures.
