The carbon-clad simulator features a curved display, a high-performance gaming computer, and components taken from the Huayra R.

If you’ve dropped $2.4 million on a new pad at the Pagani Residence and are now worried about sprucing it up, you can breathe easy as the company has introduced a new Huayra R simulator.

As the name suggests, the simulator is inspired by the Huayra R and is designed to provide an “authentic Pagan experience.” This isn’t just a marketing boost as the 122-inch (3,110 mm) engine features carbon fiber that comes from the same lineup as hypercars. Pagani added that the base has the usual air vents of their cars to help in cooling the high-performance gaming computer that runs Assetto Corsa Pro.

Aside from the eye-catching exterior, the simulator has the same driving setup as the Huayra R. This means the seat, steering wheel, and pedals are all carried over. They are combined with a large panel display with brushed aluminum components.

The automaker said the engineering and design teams worked meticulously to ensure every detail was faithfully recreated. This includes “the handling, dynamics, and aerodynamic effects of a real car, thanks to three degrees of freedom that give the driver cues for pitch, roll, and yaw. All of these features were tested and verified in back-to-back tests and professional drivers and development pilots, transforming from a simulator to a real hypercar.

Sound also plays an important role and the simulator features VR headsets, a 5.1 sound system, and kickstands integrated into the seat. The experience is said to capture the “distinctive sound of the Pagani V12-R” along with road vibrations to boot.

Pagani said the simulator is “faithful and immersive” as the “combined design of hardware and software allowed for exceptional realism in reproducing the car’s movements and road characteristics.” Owners can drive in person or book remote training sessions to learn new tunes and skills. The company will also host virtual events and owners will be able to organize challenges and races among themselves.

Despite appearing as a high-tech toy for the ultra-rich, Pagani noted that the simulator is designed to help owners familiarize themselves with their car, improve their driving skills, and relax on various tracks. This is important as the Arte in Pista program enables customers to “fully experience the performance potential of their cars through a rich calendar of exclusive non-competitive events held at the world’s most famous FIA tracks.” In fact, owners can learn the track and how their car will handle it before experiencing it in real life.

According to Pagani Automotive Dynamics Leader, Franco Morsino, “We aimed to create a professional, powerful driving simulator with an incredible level of immersion and realism, intending to contribute to the constant improvement of our customers’ driving styles. Our ambition was to transform it into a real design object, a product of artistic value destined to occupy a prominent place in the homes of Huayra R owners.

The simulator will be available to Huayra R owners initially, although it will eventually be released to the public.
