Paul Bloy also dreams of flying in the USA / ADAC Supercross Cup

In the German Supercross series that ended last weekend, Paul Bloy finished tenth overall in the SX2 class. That was fine with him, but the essentials of the games were missing.

In the 2023/2024 ADAC SX Cup season, Paul Bloy was sixth overall in the SX2 class and was the second best German. This winter, the 21-year-old from Biberach regularly and safely made it into the final points race, except for the opening day in Stuttgart in November 2024. In the end, however, he only finished in tenth place overall and ninth place in Dortmund’s three-day series – in other words, the important things were not found.

“You said, the season was good and actually I thought it was fine. “It went very well last winter, but this time it was not as I thought,” Bloy said in an interview with SPEEDWEEK.com. “For example, I was injured shortly before Stuttgart and so I didn’t qualify for the finals, which was really annoying. Things went better in Dortmund and the momentum was behind. Still, I’m a little conflicted. In fact, I am not very disappointed, but once at least near the podium was missing. That’s what I had planned for this season.”

What he did not ignore, however, was the joy of Supercross, which Bloy explained as follows: “Supercross, that’s what I live for. I enjoy this more than motocross. This year was amazing again. I loved Dortmund as much as Stuttgart. I’m already looking forward to next winter because these are my highlights of the year.”

And why? “I love everything about Supercross. The tracks because they’re so short, low because it’s always kind of a hard surface and the tracks aren’t broken up like that,” he said. “The tension is great because the drivers come from all over, even from the USA and Australia. And of course many fans in a small space like this are great, as is the environment they create.

Ideally, that means he’ll be back at the start of the 2025/2026 SX season. Until then he will keep his MX program to a minimum again. “I will participate in the Swiss championship for a little while because I really like the racing series. In Germany, apart from my home races in Aichwald, Gaildorf and Holzgerlingen, I will not do that many races, unless something else happens in the short term,” said Bloy. “But what I want to do, also with a view to next winter, is the German SX Series. That’s why I’ve already signed up for the Pro class.”

It would also be a dream for him to compete in the French Supercross series and, in the future, develop into a pure Supercrosser. “I really wanted to go to the USA this year, but that has been postponed for a year. I want to improve more in Europe and I hope that I can find a place to start in France. That’s when I will dare to go to the USA,” said Paul Bloy, giving details about his plans.
