Polestar, the automaker known for producing electric cars, is all set to release a smartphone. After a teaser previously appeared online and several rumors spread, now there is a list of specifications.
Polestar smartphone specs leaked
The Polestar car manufacturing company is under the giant company called Geely, a Chinese multinational company. The group also includes Meizu, a consumer electronics manufacturer. At some point they started making MP3 and MP4 players. After 2008, the company started making smartphones, which is its current focus.
With the specifications now leaked, it looks like Polestar is collaborating with Meizu to release the smartphone. GSMChina he discovered the smartphone after analyzing the IMEI database. It has the model number, ‘M392S’. This has the same specifications as the Meizu 20 Infinity, a smartphone that is only sold in China.
Measurements
The Meizu 20 Infinity will probably have a 6.71-inch OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on board and a 4800mAh battery, which can be charged at a maximum rate of 65 watts. The smartphone also has NFC, Bluetooth 5.2 and the ability to charge up to 50 watts wirelessly. The smartphone can run on Android 14, with its own shell called Polestar OS.
It also seems that Polestar will soon release an existing smartphone under its own name, with some differences. It is in line with the strategy of the Geely umbrella company: it wants to position itself as a comprehensive and comprehensive ecosystem. It wants to participate not only in the automotive sector, but also in the technology sector.
Release and price
It is still unclear when we can expect the Polestar smartphone. The smartphone was already shown during the Polestar Day event, with a teaser trailer that was later leaked. Since the smartphone is now in the IMEI database and has also been dropped from the Google Play Store device list, it seems we are about to be exposed.
